WA Commitments

Our model’s implementation allows us to identify the fundamental steps to dynamically position and restock inventories, reduce out-of-stocks, and achieve inventory availability levels of over 97%.

Our rigor and focus on results achieve differential and evident impacts on liquidity indicators: working capital and business operating cycle; and financial metrics: productivity of working capital, growth lever, and liquid margin.

The scenarios to build expansion plans require three necessary conditions: the existence of a market with potential, available capacity to serve that market and financial circumstances to make the scenarios viable; The value promise of our implementation aims to bring together the three critical success factors mentioned above, through tactical actions to achieve and maintain excellent service levels, streamline inventory, free up production capacity, and increase free cash flow to enable the scenarios of the expansion plans.

Our History

WA Solutions started as the dream of 3 partners: Juan Camilo Trujillo, Juan Esteban Xibille and Jhoojan Areiza.

They all worked for companies from different sectors, and they met because they had the same problems for planning their plants: although they had ERP’s installed, the planning modules were insufficient, and the MRP was unreliable. A Production, a mechanical and computer engineer, each with different backgrounds, but a common interest: To improve the planning processes of the companies they worked for and have a robust solution to support supply chain planning, based on principles of the Theory of Constraints.

The partners discover that they had an opportunity to develop software solutions with flow-based methodologies, as they have found that these dramatically improve supply chain performance. They knew from their accumulated experience that many companies in different sectors could take advantage of a flow-driven tool and methodology.

Initially, they conceived this company to develop and commercialize software solutions for planning. Still, the growth path showed them that they had to deliver knowledge to potential clients on the methodologies and tools implemented in addition to IT solutions. For this reason, they incorporate an accompanying scheme for implementation with expert consulting in flow-guided methods.

With the inclusion of new clients, they realized that certain things were not sufficiently connected; this is how the continuous search to deliver better solutions to clients and strengthen the value proposition led them to seminars, courses, and workshops with world-class experts. In this search, they found DDMRP or Demand Driven Materials Requirements Planning. They did not know yet that DDMRP was only part of how they had to go to deliver a set of integrated planning solutions for the supply chain.

Although the first steps were trial and error, this allowed creativity and flexibility to become part of the company’s DNA, making this the hallmark of WA Solutions’ value proposition. With new challenges, new needs arrived, and with these new developments and tools. WA Solutions and its collaborators become knowledge managers around demand-driven models and supply chain planning methodologies. Integration with the tactical planning process becomes a requirement, developing solutions around S&OP or Sales and Operations Planning and allowing to integrate the different levels of supply chain planning.

As new clients arrived, new collaborators arrived. The good results in customers from all industries, large, medium, and small companies, allowed accelerated growth, allowing consecutive years where sales doubled, customers came from new countries, and international expansion began.

The first step of the expansion began in Brazil, where they found a promising market and additional challenges such as the language barrier. For this reason, many of the WA Solutions collaborators communicate in Portuguese, French, or English. This vision made the partners think that they could successfully grow in different regions of the world. Then came Mexico, with an opportunity to expand into larger companies, which valued experience in other multinationals and flexibility in the value proposition. They were also achieving benefits of tens of thousands of dollars in the first implementations.
